Trek · above Gulaba
Named after the sage Bhrigu, the lake sits in a bowl above the Rohtang road, often half-frozen into June. The trail climbs from Gulaba through rolling alpine meadows to camps at Jonker Thach and Rola Kholi, reaches the lake on the third day and comes down the other side to Vashisht — so you never walk the same ground twice. One of the best first high treks.

Drive up the Rohtang road to Gulaba; a short climb to a meadow camp.
Higher meadows to the last camp below the lake.
An early climb to the lake, time at the top, back to camp.
A long descent through forest to Vashisht and the hot springs.
