Deo Tibba Expedition

Deo Tibba is the great snow dome east of Manali, the 'seat of the gods' in local belief. The approach climbs from Jagatsukh through Chikka and Seri to Tainta and the high glacial lake below the mountain, then onto the glacier. A long expedition with high camps — a fine first 6,000 m peak for a climber who has done the training.

Questions

Is it safe?

Mountaineering carries real risk. We manage it with acclimatisation, experienced guides, the right gear, weather days and a firm turn-back time on summit day.

What if the weather is bad?

The plan has spare days. If the summit isn't safe, we don't go — the mountain will be there next season.

Can I hire gear?

Yes — boots, crampons, harness and ice axe can be arranged in Manali.

What does it cost?

It depends on the team size and the days. Send an enquiry and we come back with a plan and a price.
