How our student camps work

Our summer camps give students a real outdoor experience: living in tents, learning skills, walking in the mountains and working as a team. Shuru Camp is a gentle base camp near Manali for a first camp; Hamta Pass Camp is a four-day crossing for older students ready for a real mountain journey. Both are run with instructors, the right gear and a safety plan.

How it works

From the first callto the last campfire.

  1. 01Plan with the schoolDates, ages, numbers and what the school wants the students to learn.
  2. 02Before the campA kit list, a fitness plan and a parents' briefing.
  3. 03At campDaily activities with instructors; teachers get each day's plan in the morning.
  4. 04Back homeCertificates, photos and a short report for the school.

What students bring home

Teamwork

Pitching tents, sharing loads, crossing streams — nobody gets to the pass alone.

Leadership

Every student leads a stretch of trail and a camp task.

Confidence

A 4,270 m pass is a real achievement — and it shows when they come home.

Respect for nature

Leave-no-trace camping, the mountain's plants and animals, and why they matter.

Can parents reach their children?
