Winter Activities in Manali
Winter changes the valley: snow on the deodars, frozen streams, and slopes made for play. We plan snow days around the weather and the roads — snow walks and snowshoeing in the forest, sledging and snow games at Solang, a day through the Atal Tunnel to the white valley of Sissu in Lahaul, and for groups, a night of winter camping with the skills it needs.

Are the roads open in winter?
Mostly — heavy snow can close them for a day or two. We check every morning and change the plan if needed.
